I have a strong background in counseling, research, publications, and presentations, with experience across various fields and disciplines. In terms of publications, I have a track record of producing high-quality written work across multiple formats, including academic articles, reports, and white papers. Also, I am an excellent educator with three state-wide teaching awards in Wisconsin for my teaching and education research contributions. All this results from a lifelong passion for changing lives through teaching and counseling.
I work with a group of University of Wisconsin scientists in an innovation center where we use algorithms resulting from optimization problems to model software, which I then transform into software products using my software organization, Four Corners Software. One of our research areas is on human interest alignment. We research the best congruences that can optimally align a person with an environment. We research bilinear congruences so that we can conduct alignments both ways: A person with an environment and an environment with a person. For example, our products will be valuable for counselors guiding youth to careers and HR managers looking to shortlist applicants for jobs. We already have a product named “Passionscope” released, which can benefit schools, tech schools, small colleges and organizations dealing with youth. A related area that we are currently finishing researching is finding ways to assess classrooms and classroom activities dynamically. We have successfully conducted three studies at UW-Platteville and are about to start productization.

Besides my passion, I believe I have the ability and talent to reach into a young person’s heart and build confidence. During my 29 years of college teaching in Sri Lanka and the USA, and through my role in many years of career counseling in Sri Lanka, I have improved many lives. I have a strong background in counseling, research, publications, project initiation, project management, and presentations, with experience across various fields and disciplines. The many projects I have initiated and managed have always involved students, and their effect has permanently changed them for the better.

Over the past four years, a dedicated group of researchers from the University of Wisconsin has been at the forefront of exploring innovative ways to align human interests with various aspects of life, particularly in the realms of career choices and educational dynamics. Comprising computer scientists and mathematicians, this interdisciplinary research team has made significant strides in mathematically aligning personality vectors with career vectors, offering promising applications in education, human resources, and academia. Below are the areas of research and the details.

I have, through Four Corners Software, already created a product that used our person-environment discoveries to align people with college majors, optimal careers, etc. (Please visit www.passionscope.com)
Conclusion:
The University of Wisconsin research group’s four-year journey into human interest alignment has yielded remarkable insights and practical applications. By combining mathematical rigor with interdisciplinary collaboration, the team has opened new avenues for aligning individuals with suitable careers, optimizing HR processes, and enhancing the dynamics of education. As these discoveries continue to unfold, the impact on individuals, institutions, and industries is likely to be profound, ushering in a new era of personalized and purposeful alignment in various facets of life.
