Transparency isn’t just about documents and meetings — it’s about being accessible and responsive. As alder, I’ve made it a priority to respond to constituent emails in a timely fashion and to meet with constituents whenever they ask. One of the reasons I ran for alder in 2022 – and was elected with over 65% of the vote – was because my alderperson *wasn’t* doing these things.
As mayor, I’ll continue to be accessible and responsive. I’m especially excited about offering office hours on a weekly basis, including in the evenings, so residents can meet with their mayor at a time that works for them.
